AgCarolina Welcomes Summer Interns
AgCarolina Farm Credit introduces summer interns, Eli Hill, Kate Neems, Matthew Kornegay, and Troy Pippen.
AgCarolina Farm Credit welcomes four talented interns to their team this summer. Each intern will learn about a variety of roles at AgCarolina Farm Credit and will lead several summer projects. The internship program seeks to provide an opportunity for students to learn more about the agriculture industry, service to North Carolina rural communities, and AgCarolina as a financial cooperative. Their project assignments reflect AgCarolina Farm Credit’s mission and serve as a way to challenge the cohort in a real-world work environment.

Eli Hill, from Clayton, NC, is a rising senior at NC State University majoring in Finance. His appreciation for agriculture was grown on a family farm in Deep Run, NC. With a passion for agriculture and banana pudding, Eli is eager to contribute and learn from his summer internship at AgCarolina Farm Credit.
From Youngsville, North Carolina, Kate Neems attends North Carolina State University, studying Agriculture Business Management, and minoring in Economics, and Agricultural Entrepreneurship. With a lifelong passion for agriculture stemming from showing livestock as a youth, Kate is looking forward to developing relationships with AgCarolina Members!
From Mount Olive, North Carolina, Matthew Kornegay began his college education at University of Mount Olive. He then transferred to East Carolina University, where he will earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Eager to support AgCarolina in building member relationships, Matthew is excited to be part of the #1 agricultural lending cooperative based in North Carolina.
Troy Pippen, from Rocky Mount, NC is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University. Majoring in Agricultural Business & Food Industry Management, following the AgCarolina internship, Troy will be returning to NCA&T to pursue a master’s degree in Agricultural Education specializing in Professional Service. A former MANRRS Farm Credit VIP Scholar, North Carolina Department of Agriculture Small Farms intern and former Grant Writing Project Assistant with NCA&T Cooperative Extension, Troy is excited to learn how AgCarolina prioritizes the rural community, embraces culture, and advances the development of the areas it serves.
